Dan is a leading employee benefits expert with a 20+ year career in the insurance industry. He is considered an authority on self-funding arrangements, and has in-depth knowledge of the impact of current legislation on employer-provided benefits. He is a strong supporter of Human Resources associations in the Tri-Counties, and has been a guest speaker for Human Resources Management classes at UCSB. Dan met success early by becoming a partner with MFC&V Insurance Services. During his tenure he developed and led a team to become the largest employee benefits enterprise in Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties.

Lesa joined Beneflex in 2010 with 15+ years’ experience in the insurance industry as a Senior Benefits Advisor. Lesa is a leading expert in employer benefits offerings, having worked on both the insurance carrier and broker sides of the industry. She has amassed an in-depth understanding of the complexities of the design and funding mechanisms of a strategic employee benefits plan. She is highly versed in compliance and health care reform issues, topics she often address in our client workshops and as the primary instructor for the SBHRA Insurance Academy. She has also served two terms as President of the Santa Barbara Association of Health Underwriters, in 1999-2000 and 2009-2010.
As a graduate of UCSB with a degree in Business Economics in 1994, Lesa has been exclusively committed to the Employee Benefits industry ever since. Lesa has built a clientele of over 100 employers representing over $30 million in insurance premiums which she diligently monitors. Her in-depth knowledge in employee benefits, strategic abilities in plan design and funding mechanisms, and her compliance expertise make Lesa an invaluable partner to her clients.
Suzanne is a leadership executive, consultant, and published author with over 20 years of experience in finance, operations, and human resources. As an executive, she has been recognized for her expertise in organizational leadership and development, operations efficiency, and company culture. As an HR manager and financial officer, she has in-depth knowledge of employer benefits and how they are used strategically to align with the goals of an organization. Due to her expansive and diverse background she is able to bring dynamic thinking and insight to our organization and our partner-clients. Suzanne joined Beneflex in 2014 and in addition to her roles as CFO and COO, Suzanne is head of customer experience, including all client-facing support and compliance teams.
