Oklahoma Employment Law Update – May 2017

Business Owner’s Rights and Weapons

On May 31, 2017, Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin signed legislation (S.B. 288) relating to firearms and business owner’s rights. The law exempts from liability a person who, in the scope of employment or in or about a business entity vehicle, is carrying a concealed or unconcealed weapon.

The law is effective November 1, 2017.
